City of Fort Stockton Departments
Finance Department- The Finance Department serves the citizens of the City of Fort Stockton by providing financial, management, and accounting services support to the City Manager’s office and City departments through sound management of the City’s financial activities.
Housing Authority- The housing choice voucher program is the federal government’s major program for assisting very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market.
Human Resources- the Human Resources Department strives to achieve this goal by maintaining fair and equitable employment policies, as well as recruitment and retention of trained, reliable personnel for each department.
Municipal Court- The City of Fort Stockton Municipal Court has jurisdiction over the following types of cases within the City limits ; Class C fine-only offenses (traffic offenses and criminal offenses), Municipal Ordinance Violations, and Animal Control Violations
Police Department- Fort Stockton Police Department is to provide a high quality standard of service to the community with integrity and professionalism. Our duties will be performed in a manner to ensure the safety of all citizens, to safeguard the rights and individual liberties, and to safeguard human dignity of all those we come in contact.
Public Works Department-The Department of Public Works is dedicated to excellence in developing and maintaining an advanced infrastructure to meet the needs of our growing community. In order to service the City of Fort Stockton, Public Works consists of several smaller divisions that provide various services. These divisions include Water/Wastewater Department, Street Maintenance Department, Gas Department, Sanitation/Landfill Department, and Code Enforcement Department.
Recreation Department- The Rec department is located at 1201 W. Sherer St in Fort Stockton, TX 79735.
Utility Department- The City of Fort Stockton Utility department is dedicated to providing quick and courteous customer service while maintaining and operating an accurate and efficient utility billing system. The Utility department strives to provide our citizens with professional and prompt customer service, accurate billing and account management.
City Secretary-The City Secretary’s office provides access to public records and responds to requests for public information. The City Secretary's office is also responsible for providing administrative and support services to the Mayor and City Council; organizing, disseminating, archiving, maintaining, storing, and securing all official city records and documents.
Code Enforcement- The Code Enforcement Department is dedicated to the enforcement of the community’s standards for safety, health, state and local construction codes and provides, efficient plan review, inspections and code enforcement, through the review of applications, building plans, construction documents, and on-site inspections by specially qualified personnel.
