Animal Control Advisory Board


The Animal Control Advisory Board shall Review and recommend procedures for the care and maintenance of the animal shelter facilities and impounded animals to ensure compliance with state law; & periodically review the city's animal control ordinances to ensure they are consistent with state law and make recommendations for revisions thereof.  The Board meets at City Hall annually as needed, during the month of April at 9:30 a.m.


The Animal Control Advisory Board is appointed by the City Council and is comprised of four (4) regular members who serve two-year, staggered terms.

The board shall consist of at least one (1) licensed veterinarian.
