CITY OF FORT STOCKTON GENERAL ELECTION

The City Secretary serves as the Elections Administrator for the City. Currently the City of Fort Stockton contracts with the Pecos County Elections Administrator for administration and coordination of any General or Special City Elections.

In accordance with SB 2258 and Resolution No. 23-122R, the City of Fort Stockton's General Election Date was moved from the May Uniform Date established by law to the November Uniform Date Established by Law, providing for the holdover of the Mayor and City Council Members to Conform to the November Uniform Election Date. 

The City of Fort Stockton will hold its General Election on November 5, 2024 for the purpose of electing Three (3) Council Members, designated Places 3, 4 & 5. The Council Members shall serve a term for a period of three years.

It is anticipated that the City of Fort Stockton’s General Election will be administered by the Pecos County Election Administrator. Early voting is scheduled for Monday, October 21, 2024 through Friday, November 1, 2024. Election Day voting will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Specific information concerning polling locations and early voting times will be made available on the City of Fort Stockton website and on the Pecos County website as soon as those details become available.

Application for a Ballot by Mail must be mailed to the Pecos County Election Administrator and received no later than the close of business on October 25, 2024. The address is 200 S. Nelson, Fort Stockton, Texas 79735.
