Leave Benefits

The City of Fort Stockton provides its employees with a comprehensive leave benefits package that includes various types of leave to cater to different needs and situations. These benefits are designed to support employees in maintaining a healthy work-life balance and ensuring their well-being. Here are some key aspects of the leave benefits offered by the City of Fort Stockton:

Vacation Leave: Employees at the City of Fort Stockton accrue vacation leave based on their length of service. All full-time regular employees shall accrue the following: 

Years of Employment                           Annual Accrual                              Monthly Accrual
 0 through 5                                           10 days (80 hours)                         6.67 hours per month
 6 through 15                                         15 days (120) hours                      10.00 hours per month
 16 years and over                                 20 days (160 hours)                      13.34 hours per month

Part-time and Temporary/Seasonal employees do not accrue vacation hours. Employees are eligible to take vacation after successfully completing the ninety (90) day probationary period. After such probationary period, vacation leave time may be taken upon accrual. No employee will be allowed to use vacation leave time before it being accrued.
